Picnic Under the Stars: November 21st, 2025

The La Porte City Park Foundation is pleased to announce the return of its annual “Picnic Under the Stars” Gala, taking place on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 6-10 p.m. at the La Porte Civic Auditorium. This year’s event will feature a romantic, garden-inspired atmosphere with music, art and meaningful community connection—all in support of La Porte’s parks.

The Gala is designed to be both elegant and accessible, with pricing that reflects the Foundation’s commitment to inclusivity. Individual tickets are $50, and a Date Night Special offers two tickets for $75, making it easier for couples and friends to enjoy a memorable evening while supporting a vital community cause.

Guests will enjoy dinner and desserts catered by Downs Family Catering, a live performance by American Idol alum Marriani Fleming, and a curated art gallery auction featuring photographs of La Porte’s parks taken by members of Corvilla, a nonprofit serving adults with disabilities.

The evening also includes the debut of the Signature Scent Experience—a custom candle created exclusively for the Gala by Nest #4 and inspired by one of La Porte’s 16 city parks. A new park will be featured each year, creating a growing collection of scents that celebrate the beauty of our local green spaces. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition annual ornament, created exclusively for the Gala. This keepsake honors La Porte’s parks and is designed to become a cherished tradition for attendees.

The Foundation proudly recognizes La Porte Seamless Gutter as this year’s North Star Sponsor, whose generous support helps make the Gala—and the Foundation’s work—possible.

All proceeds benefit the La Porte City Park Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enhancing and sustaining La Porte’s parks.

Park Foundation Golf Outing: Sept. 5th, 2025

Join us for the 2nd Annual La Porte Park Foundation Golf Outing on Friday, September 5 at Beechwood Golf Course—spots are filling fast! Every dollar raised ensures our parks continue to thrive, supporting everything from trail maintenance and beach lifeguards to youth scholarships.
